Valley Haven Receives Support from Grants and Donations
Valley Haven is a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation. To keep our program affordable for our participants and their families we have not increased our daily rate in over five years. Participant fees alone are not enough to sustain our program. We receive much needed support from our fundraisers, donations and grants. Valley Haven thanks those individuals who make donations. We appreciate that you recognise the valuable service we provide to our community. We also want to thank the foundations who grant us funds to continue our program. Some of the foundations who support Valley Haven are: The Hutton Foundation, The Wood-Claeyssens Foundation, The Yardi Foundation, the Hildergard-Balin Foundation, The Eagle Foundation. It is through the generous help of donors and charitable foundations that Valley Haven Adult Day Program continues. Thank You!!

Holiday Celebration at Valley Haven
Our BIG Holiday Party began with crafts and holiday music. Followed by a reading of "T'was the Night Before Christmas" performed with great zeal by Marsha. The program aides provided a delicious home-made Mexican luncheon on our best holiday china while sparkling cider was served in our crystal goblets. For dessert the participants were served red velvet cake and coffee. To top off the wonderful day, our participants were treated to Christmas music by violinist Diane Siminski. Diane also took the time to explain her instrument, the violin, to us all. Thank you Diane for making our Holiday Party special.

The BIG Garage Sale is a Huge Success
Valley Haven Adult Day Program
A BIG thank you to all who helped with our garage sale on Friday and Saturday. Those who lent assistance were Gumby, Jim, Sally, Nils, Susan, Diane, Linda, Marilyn, Julie, Kirstie, Jeff, Jake, Mary Lou, Tom, Kathy, Pete and Martin. We couldn't have done it without your help. Thank you to all the members of the community who donated items to sell at the garage sale. Thank you to the Lompoc Record and the Lompoc Chamber of Commerce for their stellar media coverage of our event. We made in excess of $2300 which will go to provide scholarships for our participants. This event also provided an opportunity to share what the Valley Haven Adult Day Program does for the seniors in our community.
