Our Garden is in Full Bloom
It's Springtime and our garden shows it. It has been a year since
we installed our drought tolerant landscape and the plants have taken root.
The Lilac's are almost done blooming but for those that are still on the bush the fragrance is habit forming. |

A BIG Move to the Small House
Valley Haven is growing and needed more room. We decided to occupy our "Little House" rental once the lease expired for our tenants In February we moved the contents of the office from the Big house to the Little house. This move allowed us more room for the business aspect of Valley Haven and room to meet with our members families. With the extra space we now have a small conference room used for meetings. It is also the location for the Caregiver's support group which meets twice monthly. In the coming year we hope to add drought tolerant landscape. The Office is located to the rear and right of the Valley Haven House.

Capps visits adult day program in Lompoc
Congresswoman Lois Capps, D-Santa
Barbara, was in Lompoc on Monday to visit Valley Haven, a nonprofit
adult day program for adults who are 55 and older and live at home
independently or with family caregivers.
Capps,
who represents the 24th Congressional District, helped Valley Haven
secure a Department of Veterans contract last year for adult day
services for veterans, which allowed these individuals to attend the
center free of charge.
“Facilities like Valley Haven
provide invaluable services to our local veterans, seniors and their
families,” Capps said. “I am always looking for ways to improve access
to services for these individuals and to support their caregivers, which
is why I was happy to support Valley Haven’s efforts to partner with
the U.S. Veterans Administration to provide care for Central Coast
veterans."
Capps toured the facility for about an hour Monday.
Valley Haven is located at 502 North Third St. For more information on the organization, call 733-9459.
