Every Friday at about 1:00 pm Marsha comes to Valley Haven to lead our participants in an exercise class. Marsha has years of experience leading exercise classes and adapts the exercises to allow all our seniors to participate. It could be chair exercises or tossing a ball around. Marsha knows that exercises are good for the mind and the body and encourages everyone to participate. Valley Haven appreciates and thanks our volunteer Marsha for her commitment to our program.

Fireworks Sale?
In light of the recent Miguelito Canyon fire, the Lompoc City Council is reconsidering allowing the sale of safe and sane fireworks within city limits. The subject is up for discussion at the city council meeting on June 3rd. IF we are allowed to sell fireworks this year as a fundraiser, our location will be the Big Brand Tire Store parking lot at 701 W Central. Please stop by and support Valley Haven.
Our Cedar Tree Has Been Removed
We knew the day would come that we would have to cut down our stately old cedar tree. That day was last Friday. In recent months the tree began dropping large limbs. Sometimes this was due to a windy day but not always. We were concerned a limb might injure someone or damage the house. We have saved a slice of the tree to be used later in our landscape design. A landscape plan is in the works. We anticipate we will begin work on the grounds in the Fall. Bear with us in the meantime as the current yard dies off.

Valley Haven to Present Our Program at the Lompoc Rotary Club
Valley Haven has been invited to make a presentation at the Lompoc Rotary Club at their meeting on May 14th. This is a great opportunity for Valley Haven to share with the community our program and what an asset it is to Lompoc Businesses. As most members of the Rotary Club are business persons they realize the importance of having a place for their loved one to go during the day while they are at work. While also knowing they are safe, having fun and are interacting with others.
